Well, I for one am happy last week is over. I got the stomach flu, Gav and I and now Burg is threatening. SICK but so much better. Bampa took such good care of me. Jeff , Janet and Brooklyn have all been congested. It sounds like Jer and Talli are having a really busy week. I wish we were closer and could be more help. Jer told me last night 1/25 that Macie is trying to get sick again. Get better baby and hold on everybody spring is coming. Tough time of year but we are so excited for you guys tohave your new home. We had birthday dinner for Kinslee and Grandma Poulsen last night, Kins is 4 today, Grandma is 82. We got a real ice storm last night, Ihaven't been out but it looks cold. Keep you hearts warm. I love you all.

Bryan's introduction

Burgandi finally introduced me to facebook and now she wants me to do this blog thing. I am not social enough to do this but I will give it a try. I have been around home for a month and I need to get out and install some devices. I am scheduling a 8 day trip to the east in Feb. to install a couple of tables and take care of a number of small maintenence items. I fly into Birmingham on the 9th and return from Baltimore on the 17th. I will drive through Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, D.C., Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania. I will be visiting about 15 of our owners. I really don't mind the travel but I always miss home while I am gone. Love, Bampa

Sleepover

Last night we had Jillie sleepover and it went so much better than our last attempt at a sleepover, maybe the 2 1/2 hour time out really got to Brooklyn. We had dinner, a movie, FHE and best of all ICE CREAM!! They stayed up until about 10pm talking but isn't that what you're supposed to do when you're at a sleepover. I'm feeling much better, my wisdom tooth broke through over the weekend and I'm wondering if that had anything to do with why I got so sick...who knows. We're hoping that Macie is on the mend too. Jeff started school today at SLCC and the U, this will be his last semester before he gets into nursing school. We're starting the applications and still praying like crazy that we'll get into the U's program so we can stay in Utah. Love you guys. Hope everyones week is going well.
Love
Janet

It is great to hear from you, we miss you Josh and Mandy.... Hope your anniversary was awesome... 2 yrs I can hardy believe that.... time just flies. Tell us how great Park City was. Busy week for me. Another nurse had a mini breakdown(common in hospice) and that makes me more patient rich, but that is okay. I am trying to get inspired by the biggest looser, after all it is that time of year and I lost 22lbs last year, of which I gained 7 back, darn. I just wish eating wasn't such a habit. This week is the twins birthday, that is hard to believe as well. These babies grow up so fast. Macie is 7 months and counting and she has been a very sick baby this week and last. Nearly in the hospital except for a Dr. Daddy and a great Mommy who have cared for her round the clock with her RSV. Tally states she is doing better.. Keep it up little girl. WE love you and we miss all you Californians. Love all you guys, this is so much fun...............Dedi

Family Night

We had a really fun Family Night last night. We are not always good about Family Nights, but one of my New Years Resolutions is to try to do something - anything- for Family Night. Recently we taught our family and mom and dad a dice game that we have played for years with Matt's family. It is a simple game where you are basically just rolling for combinations that give you points and the first one to reach 10,000 points wins. Wouldn't you know that Kinslee beat us all last night. Matt was the next closest with 8400 points. The rest of us got royally creamed! We'll need to teach you all how to play - it makes for a really good time. We capped it off with homemade cupcakes and the night was a great success. Love you all and hope Janet and Macie are doing better!

Much love,

Burg

Winger's Bowl 2009

I love this idea too! Well Jeff did the Wingers bowl prelims today and ate 80 wings and felt great, not like last year. Brooklyn wanted to wear his 2XL shirt and decided it needed to be her new nightgown so she is currently sleeping in it now. Jeff starts school again on Tuesday and I'm not as anxious about it this semester as I was last. I might even get to see him between work and school and he is planning to come to sacrament meetings with me this year since we have church at 11am. I'm sick right now with a cold but I'll probably get over it pretty quick. I signed up to do another 1/2 marathon in April here in Salt Lake, now I just need to get training :) I'm glad that we didn't take I-84 home from Portland after hearing the Peterson's story, good thing it was closed and good thing Jeremy and Talli came to our rescue! Can't wait to hear from everyone!
Love, Janet
PS I have more Winger's Bowl pictures on our blog www.lifewiththepoulsenfamily.blogspot.com

LoVE It!!!

Okay, I love this idea!!! I think it will be fun to see what everyone is doing.
Here is an update on us:
We had a great time in SOCAL.  Disney was fun and we had so much fun with Pete and Nicole and their family.  We got home and now Macie is super sick....RSV sick.  It has been a rough day but hopefully she will start to get better.  We are STILL waiting to close on our house.  We are waiting for the title Co to print new docs...I guess it takes days to print docs:-)  Mom, I am so excited for you and Women's Conference.  What an honor!!!  We LOVE and MISS each of you.

This is awesome!!! Thanks Burg

Wow, maybe I can acutally get into this blog thing. You all know how wonderfully talented at the computer I am, but I am willing to try. I am so grateful for my great family and the support and help you are to each other, the way you love each other is a wonderful thing. Like Jeremy, Talli and family willing to meet Jeff and Janet to help, how they could in a tough and tired sitution, to make it better and the many acts of kindness we as parents see all the time in all of you. We love each one of you so much and I am so proud to be your Mom and Dedi. At least Jeff and Janet made it back safe. I talked to Noreen Peterson today who told me she and Pete rolled and totalled their car on the way to Portland the day after Christmas, on theor way to see Shelley and family.. I had an interesting call on Tues night from the BYU planning committee for the Women's Conference, who want me to be a speaker at the conference, concerning Hospice and how the end of life of a loved one can pull families together. It was Noreen who told them to ask me.. I have butterflies in my stomach but it should be fun. I love you guys.......Dedi

A Fun Idea

So - I stole this idea from Burt and Shannon's family. They have a family blog that they each log into as often as they can and just post something fun, neat, etc. about their day. It was really cool to see the different posts. I thought it would be fun to give it a try.

Love,
Burg
